How to Organize Scrap Paper on a Budget!

In a world where paper crafts and creative chaos collide, I found myself knee-deep in a kaleidoscope of colorful scraps, desperately seeking order in the midst of my crafting frenzy. Armed with nothing but a handful of colored file folders, a trusty pair of scissors, and a determined spirit, I embarked on a mission that would make even Marie Kondo raise an eyebrow. Join me on this budget-friendly adventure as I unveil the art of transforming a chaotic paper battlefield into a masterpiece of organization and whimsy (ok, not so much whimsy…lol) Non-the-less, brace yourself as we're about to turn scrap paper into papery poetry!

Things you will need:
- Colored File Folders, I've used Legal Size (2 of each color)
- Scissors
- Craft Glue
- If you don't have colored file folders, you can also use a single color and make colored labels – in this case, you'll need some labels too!)
Let's Begin Shall We?

First thing you're going to need to do is take one of the colored folders, and cut it in half.

Then take the side that doesn't have the tab, and trim the top and bottom to make two rectangles the same size and shape. I cut along the top fold line.

Then you're going to glue each one of these folds to the inside of the folder, aligning it to the bottom fold. Make sure your folded edge is pointing outwards. Then add glue to the top of both rectangles and close the folder. Press down firmly on both sides, or press it between two heavy books while the glue sets.

And there you have it! Easy, simple paper scrap organization!

I keep mine on top of my paper organizers for quick and easy access. Hope this helps! Happy crafting 🙂
